Tools

The server provides six core tools:

Query Tool

• query
  • Execute a SELECT query to read data from the database.
  • Input:
    • query (string): The SELECT SQL query to be executed.
  • Return: The query results as an array of objects.

Schema Tool

• list_db

  • List all databases in the Teradata system.
  • Return: A list of databases.

• list_objects

  • List objects in a specific database.
  • Input:
    • db_name (string): The name of the database.
  • Return: A list of database objects under the provided database or the default user database.

• show_tables

  • Display detailed information about a database table.
  • Input:
    • table_name (string): The name of the table.
  • Return: An array of column names and data types.

Analysis Tool

• list_missing_values
  • List the fields with the most missing values in a table.
• list_negative_values
  • Count the number of fields with negative values in a table.
• list_distinct_values
  • Count the number of distinct categories in a field of a table.
• standard_deviation
  • Calculate the average and standard deviation of a field in a table.
