Vantage MCP Server is a tool for querying and analyzing cloud resource usage and costs. It integrates with AI tools (such as Claude and ChatGPT) to provide real-time data access and interactive analysis capabilities.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Open the terminal (on macOS/Linux) or the command prompt (on Windows).
2. Run the following command to start the MCP server:

vantage-mcp-server serve

3. Follow the console prompts to complete the initialization.

📦 Installation

Download and Compile

1. Download the binary file suitable for your operating system from GitHub.
2. Extract the downloaded file:
   • macOS: tar -xzf vantage-mcp-server-macos-amd64.tar.gz
   • Windows: Double-click to extract the ZIP file.
   • Linux: tar -xzf vantage-mcp-server-linux-amd64.tar.gz

Configure Environment Variables

Set the VANTAGE_BEARER_TOKEN environment variable to your Vantage API token:

• macOS/Linux:

export VANTAGE_BEARER_TOKEN=your_api_token_here

• Windows:

set VANTAGE_BEARER_TOKEN=your_api_token_here

Verify the Installation

Run the following command to check if the installation was successful:

vantage-mcp-server --version

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

1. Open the terminal (on macOS/Linux) or the command prompt (on Windows).
2. Run the following command to start the MCP server:

vantage-mcp-server serve

3. Follow the console prompts to complete the initialization.

Integration Tools

Claude for Desktop

1. Download and install Claude.
2. Open Settings > Developer Options and edit the configuration file:
   • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
   • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
3. Add the Vantage MCP Server configuration:
