A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides Paprika 3 recipes as LLM-readable resources and allows LLMs like Claude to create or update recipes in your Paprika app.

⚙️ Prerequisites

• ✅ Mac, Linux, or Windows system
• ✅ Paprika 3 installed and cloud sync enabled
• ✅ Your Paprika 3 username and password
• ✅ An LLM with MCP tool support, such as Claude

📦 Installation

You can download the pre-built binary files on the Releases page.

🍎 macOS (via Homebrew)

If you're using macOS, the easiest way is to install via Homebrew:

brew tap soggycactus/tap
brew install paprika-3-mcp

🐧 Linux / 🪟 Windows

1. Visit the latest release.
2. Download the appropriate archive for your operating system and architecture:
   • paprika-3-mcp_<version>_linux_amd64.zip for Linux
   • paprika-3-mcp_<version>_windows_amd64.zip for Windows
3. Unzip the archive:
   • Linux:

     unzip paprika-3-mcp_<version>_<os>_<arch>.zip
     

   • Windows:
     • Right-click on the .zip file and select "Extract Here".
4. After installation, add paprika-3-mcp to your system's path.

🚀 Quick Start

Starting the Server

To start the MCP server, run the following command:

paprika-3-mcp serve --port 12345

Using in Claude

In Claude, you can call this server as follows:

💡 Usage Tip

• The MCP server supports the following commands: create_paprika_recipe, update_paprika_recipe, and list_paprika_recipes.
• The server listens on port 12345 by default. To change the port, specify the --port parameter when starting the server.

Log Path

💡 The log files are stored in the following locations depending on the runtime environment:

• macOS/Linux: /tmp/paprika-3-mcp/server.log
• Windows: %TEMP%\paprika-3-mcp\server.log
• Other systems: /tmp/paprika-3-mcp/server.log

Log Management

💡 The log file size is limited to 100MB, with a maximum of 5 backup files retained, and log files older than 10 days will be automatically cleaned up.
