🚀 Weather MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol server that provides weather forecasts and city information query functions. This server allows LLMs to obtain weather information for the next 24 hours and supports querying city information by city name, latitude, and longitude.

📦 Installation

Using uv (Recommended)

When using uv, no specific installation is required. We'll use uvx to directly run mcp-server-weather.

Using PIP

Alternatively, you can install mcp-server-weather via pip:

pip install mcp-server-weather

After installation, you can run it as a script with the following command:

python -m mcp_server_weather

Basic Usage

1. Get the 24-hour weather forecast:

🐞 Debugging

You can use the MCP inspector to debug the server. For uvx installations:

npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector uvx mcp-server-weather

Or if you've installed the package in a specific directory or are in development:

cd path/to/servers/src/weather
npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector uv run mcp-server-weather
