🚀 Authenticator App MCP Server

A secure MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that enables AI agents to interact with the Authenticator App. It provides seamless access to two-factor authentication codes and passwords, allowing AI agents to assist in automating the login process while maintaining security. This tool bridges the gap between AI assistants and authentication, making it easier to manage credentials across different platforms and websites.

🚀 Quick Start

How It Works

1. Open the integrated chat interface of your AI agent (e.g., Cursor's agent mode).
2. Ask the AI agent to retrieve the two-factor authentication code or password for the website and account you need.
3. The AI agent will securely obtain these credentials and can then use them to automate the login process.

This MCP server is designed to work with the Authenticator App · 2FA.

Configuration

Many AI clients use configuration files to manage MCP servers. The authenticator-mcp tool can be configured by adding the following to the configuration file.

⚠️ Important Note

You need to create an Authenticator App access token to use this server. For instructions on how to create an Authenticator App access token, see here.

Alternatively, you can set AUTHENTICATOR_ACCESS_TOKEN in the env field.

📦 Installation

Install the Desktop Version of Authenticator App · 2FA

Create an Access Token

1. Open the desktop version of Authenticator App · 2FA.
2. Navigate to Settings and go to the MCP Server section.
3. Enable the MCP server and then generate your access token.

Please note that the access token will only be displayed once. Make sure to copy it immediately and add it to your MCP client configuration.
