Currently, the MCP server only uses read-only access to your OpsLevel account and can read data from the following resources:

📦 Installation

1. Install the MCP server:
   1. Homebrew - brew install opslevel/tap/opslevel-mcp
   2. Docker - docker pull public.ecr.aws/opslevel/mcp:latest
      You can also use a fixed version. View available tags in the gallery.
   3. Manual installation - Visit our GitHub release page and download the binary for your operating system.
2. You need an API token to authorize the MCP server to communicate with your account via an environment variable.
3. Set up the MCP configuration to suit your chosen AI tool.

Basic Usage

Here are the configuration steps for different AI tools:

Claude

Claude Desktop

1. Edit the file at the specified path (according to the Claude Desktop documentation):
   1. Mac OS - ${HOME}/Library/Application\ 支持/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
   2. Windows - %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
2. Start (or restart) Claude Desktop.

1. Open the settings menu (Command + Comma) and select the correct tab at the top of the page.
   1. Workspace - Configure the MCP server in the workspace context.
2. Copy the following content to settings.json as needed or configure it directly through the UI.

Advanced Usage

If you pulled the Docker image instead of installing the binary directly, you need to adjust the above MCP configuration to support running the server via Docker.
