What is Bernerspace MCP Server?

Bernerspace is a unified MCP server solution. Through single JWT authentication and OAuth middleware, developers can easily integrate multiple third-party services (such as Slack, Gmail, etc.). It solves the problems of complex deployment and decentralized authentication of traditional MCP servers.

How to use Bernerspace?

Simply deploy a server instance, configure the JWT key and database connection, and you can access all integrated third-party services through a unified interface. Each service has an independent OAuth process and toolset.

Applicable scenarios

Suitable for application development that needs to integrate multiple SaaS services, especially scenarios that require unified authentication and management of multiple third-party API accesses.

Main features

Unified authentication
Use a single JWT (HS256 algorithm) to access all integrated services, supporting issuer/audience verification
OAuth middleware
Provide a standardized OAuth process for each integrated service, automatically handling token acquisition and refresh
Database storage
All OAuth tokens are securely stored in the PostgreSQL database, organized by client_id and integration_type
Multi-service support
Currently supports Slack (47 tools), and will soon support Gmail, Google Calendar, etc.
Advantages
Single deployment manages all integrations, reducing operational complexity
Unified authentication layer simplifies client integration
Standardized OAuth process reduces development workload
Flexible expansion architecture supports rapid addition of new services
Limitations
The number of currently supported third-party services is limited
Requires self-deployment and maintenance of the server
Database dependency may increase architectural complexity

How to use

Environment preparation
Create a.env file and configure the JWT key, database connection, and service-specific OAuth parameters
Install dependencies
Use pip or uv to install Python dependencies
Start the server
You can run it directly through Python or use Docker for containerized deployment
Generate JWT
Generate an access token for the client
Configure the client
Set the server URL and JWT in the client configuration file

Usage examples

Integrate Slack tools
Access the Slack API through Bernerspace and send a message to the specified channel
LangChain integration
Use the Slack tools provided by Bernerspace in a LangChain application
