DeepView MCP serves as a bridge between IDEs and Gemini, facilitating the analysis of large - scale codebases. With it, you can load codebases and query them using Gemini's powerful capabilities.

📦 Installation

Using Smithery

To automatically install DeepView to the Claude desktop via Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @ai-1st/deepview-mcp --client claude

Using pip

pip install deepview-mcp

💻 Usage Examples

Starting the Server

⚠️ Important Note

You don't need to start the server manually. These parameters are configured in your IDE's MCP settings (see below).

Basic Usage

# Basic usage, default settings
deepview-mcp [path/to/codebase/codebase.txt]

Specifying a Different Gemini Model

deepview-mcp [path/to/codebase/codebase.txt] --model=gemini-pro

Verbose Output Mode

deepview-mcp [path/to/codebase/codebase.txt] --verbose

Command - Line Tool

deepview-mcp [path] [--model=model_name] [--api-key=api_key] [--port=port] [--verbose]

• [path]: Path or file of the codebase to be analyzed.
• --model: Gemini model to use (default: gemini).
• --api-key: Gemini API key.
• --port: Port the server listens on (default: 5000).
• --verbose: Enable verbose log output.
