🚀 SNCF Server Guide

This guide details how to build and configure an MCP (Multimodal Coordination Platform) server using the SNCF public transportation API based on Navitia. The MCP server is used to coordinate the integration of multiple transportation modes, assisting users in planning complex travel routes.

📦 Installation

Install Dependencies

1. Python Environment: Python 3.8 or higher is required.
2. Navitia SDK: Install the official Navitia SDK via pip.

   pip install navitia-python
   

3. Geographic Data File:
   • Download the CSV file train_stations_europe.csv for railway stations in the European region.

Server Configuration

1. Create an MCP Configuration File:
   • Configure the Navitia application ID and key.

     NAVITIA_APP_ID = 'your_app_id'
     NAVITIA_APP_KEY = 'your_app_key'
     

2. Initialize the Database:
   • Use the provided SQL script to create the necessary database tables.

The station details tool can find points of interest near stations:

• Other transportation stops
