A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed for Scrapezy, which allows AI models to extract structured data from websites.

This server enables AI models to extract structured data from websites. You can install it either automatically via Smithery or manually, and then use it with Claude Desktop after setting up the API key.

📦 Installation

Automatic Installation via Smithery

Automatically install the Scrapezy MCP server for Claude Desktop through Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @Scrapezy/mcp --client claude

Manual Installation

npm install -g @scrapezy/mcp

💻 Usage Examples

API Key Setup

There are two ways to provide the Scrapezy API key:

1. Environment Variable:

   export SCRAPEZY_API_KEY=your_api_key
   npx @scrapezy/mcp
   

2. Command-line Parameter:

   npx @scrapezy/mcp --api-key=your_api_key
   

When using it with Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Example Usage (in Claude)

You can use the following prompt to call this tool in Claude:

Please extract information from this page: https://example.com/product
Please extract the product name, price, description, and available colors.

Claude will use the MCP server to extract the required structured data from the website.

Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via standard input and output, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, which can be run via a script command:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access the debugging tool in the browser.
