The Pheromone MCP Server provides a reliable and secure way to manage and interact with model context protocols, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation.

🚀 Quick Start

To use the Pheromone MCP Server, you must first set the environment variables required for authentication.

• INFISICAL_UNIVERSAL_AUTH_CLIENT_ID: The machine identifier universal authentication client ID for authentication.
• INFISICAL_UNIVERSAL_AUTH_CLIENT_SECRET: The machine identifier universal authentication client secret for authentication.
• INFISICAL_HOST_URL: Optional Set a custom host URL. This is useful when self - hosting Pheromone or using dedicated infrastructure. The default is https://app.infisical.com.

The command to run the Pheromone MCP Server using npx is as follows:

npx -y @infisical/mcp

Debugging the Server

To debug the server, you can use the MCP Inspector.

First, build the server:

npm run build

Run the following command in the terminal:

# Start the MCP Inspector and the server
npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector node dist/index.js

Steps

1. Set the environment variables as described in the Environment Variables section.
2. Run the command to start the MCP Inspector.
3. Open the MCP Inspector UI in your browser and click "Connect" to start the MCP Server.
4. You can view all available tools and test them one by one.
