A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for interacting with Sentry. This MCP server provides tools to interact with the Sentry API, allowing AI assistants to retrieve and analyze error data, manage projects, and monitor application performance.

⚠️ Important Note

This project has been largely superseded by Sentry's Remote - MCP Server, which supports more features (such as authentication, better tools, etc.). This implementation exists as a standalone MCP server, but for all practical purposes, it is recommended to use the remote version. You can see a live - running version at https://mcp.sentry.dev.

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v14 or higher)

This MCP has been verified on Cursor, Codeium Windsurf, and Claude Desktop.

Using with Claude

💡 Usage Tip

• Update the directory path in the args field.
• Replace <YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN> with your Sentry authentication token.

Running the Server

🔧 Technical Details

Authentication

This tool requires a Sentry authentication token with appropriate permissions to access the Sentry API. You can find where to generate the token in your Sentry account settings (Settings -> User Settings -> Authentication Tokens).
