🚀 MCP Server Playground

This repository serves as a playground for experimenting with MCP servers built using TypeScript. It is a tutorial and personalized version, designed as a learning resource and a platform for testing integrations with Calude Desktop and Cursor IDE.

This project is based on the following materials:

The original tutorial provided a foundation, upon which I have expanded. In addition to the examples in the tutorial, I also plan to add other tools and features to develop the code into a robust playground for MCP server experiments.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

Node.js (v12 or higher)
npm (or Yarn, based on your preference)
TypeScript (if not globally installed)

Installation via Smithery

To automatically install the MCP Server Playground for Claude Desktop via Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install mcp-server-playground --client claude

Installation

Clone the repository:

git clone <repo_url>
cd mcp-server-playground

Install dependencies:

npm install

Build the project:

npm run build

Configuration

This project uses environment variables. Create a .env file to set your configuration options. If an example file (.env.example) is provided in the future, use it as a template.

📦 Available Scripts
