This repository implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server based on Personal Context Technology (PCT). It allows AI assistants to access and update users' personalized data, thus maintaining persistent memory between conversations.

📦 Installation

Clone the project repository

git clone https://github.com/mikhashev/personal-context-manager.git
cd pct-mcp-server

Install dependencies

npm install

Configure the context storage path

• Edit the src/storage/contextStorage.ts file.
• Modify the DEFAULT_CONTEXT object to suit your needs.

Start the server

npm start

Basic Usage

Initialize the context file

Modify the personal_context.json file

Run the server and access the API endpoints

📚 Documentation

Custom Context

The default personal context includes the following parts:

• basic_info: Basic information such as name and location.
• preferences: Communication style, learning preferences, etc.
• instruction: Rules for AI to use and update the context.
• metadata: Version tracking and update history.

You can customize the context structure by editing the src/storage/contextStorage.ts file or replacing the personal_context.json file in the data directory.

Advanced Configuration

Use HTTP Transport

The default implementation uses stdio transport for development. To use HTTP transport in a production environment:

1. Edit the src/index.ts file.
2. Uncomment the HTTP transport section.
3. Configure the required port and CORS settings.
4. Restart the server.

Extended Features

• Support multi - user context management.
• Implement context synchronization and backup functions.
