🚀 Model Context Protocol Project Repository

This project repository focuses on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), aiming to provide a standardized protocol for model context management. It includes servers and clients based on different programming languages, facilitating users to quickly start using and customize their own servers.

🚀 Quick Start

Using the MCP Servers in this Repository

• TypeScript-based Server: You can directly use the npx command to run it. For example, to start the Memory server:

  npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/server-memory
  

• Python-based Server: You can use uvx or pip to run it. It is recommended to use uvx to simplify installation and configuration.

  For example, to start the Git server:

  # Using uvx
  uvx mcp-server-git
  
  # Using pip
  pip install mcp-server-git
  python -m mcp_server_git
  

  For instructions on installing uv/uvx, please refer to here, and for instructions on installing pip, please refer to here.

Using the MCP Client

Running just a server alone doesn't make much sense. You should configure it in an MCP client. For example, here is an example of a Claude Desktop configuration file using the above server:
