🚀 MCP Obsidian Kotlin

This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server implementation for Obsidian, written in Kotlin. Leveraging the Obsidian Local REST API plugin, it enables AI agents to interact with Obsidian notes.

This project is inspired by the Python version of MCP Obsidian but is completely re-implemented in Kotlin.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Java
• Obsidian
• Installation and configuration of the Local REST API plugin

Steps

1. Install the Local REST API plugin in Obsidian and generate an API key.
2. Clone this repository:

   git clone https://github.com/your-username/mcp-obsidian-kotlin.git
   cd mcp-obsidian-kotlin
   

3. Build the project:

   ./gradlew build
   

4. Set the MCP server configuration in the mcp.json file:

Please replace your-path with the actual project path.
