🚀 Quick Start

The Task Tracker is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that combines the task management capabilities of Linear with the time tracking features of TrackingTime. It enables users to automate their workflow and tasks using large language models (LLMs).

💡 Motivation

I've always used Linear for task management and TrackingTime for time tracking. I realized that leveraging large language models (LLMs) to automate my workflow and tasks would be incredibly beneficial. With the power of LLMs, I can create tasks, update task statuses, start and stop time tracking, and perform many other operations using natural language.

If I develop more MCP servers tailored to my needs, I can turn my Claude client into a one-stop workspace.

📦 Installation

Configuration

1. Set up the environment by referring to the .env.example file.
2. Build the project by executing the sh scripts/setup.sh script or run the following uv commands directly:

uv build 
uv run task-tracker

3. Configure in Claude Desktop:
