Kintone Deno MCP Server

🚀 Example of Building a Kintone MCP Server with Deno

This project aims to provide an example of running a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server in the Deno environment, designed for the purpose of interacting with kintone. By using Deno, we can set up communication to only allow the target kintone domain, thereby reducing security concerns.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Download the Source Code

You can download the source code anywhere, but it is recommended to place it in a path containing only half - width alphanumeric characters and no spaces.

2. Install Deno (Recommended version v1.40 or higher)

Please follow the steps in the official guide to install Deno.

3. Start the Deno Server

Run the following commands in the project directory:

export KINTONE_PASSWORD=demo-guest
deno task start

⚠️ Important Note

When running for the first time, you may be prompted whether to allow the use of npm packages. At this time, you need to grant the --allow-env and --allow-net permissions.

4. Configure the Claude Desktop Application

Find the configuration file named claude_desktop_config.json and add relevant settings to its "mcpServers" section by referring to the following example:

5. Restart the Claude Desktop Application

After saving the changes to the claude_desktop_config.json file, exit and restart the Claude Desktop Application. If the application is still running in the background, right - click on its icon and select "Quit" to ensure it is completely closed.

6. Function Testing

First, you can ask Claude: "Find the names and corresponding application IDs of kintone applications that can be accessed by users through MCP." Here, you need to specify the kintone application names precisely, as any slight difference may lead to errors.
