1. Traditional Manual Installation (simulated, not an actual system installation).
2. Automated Installation Using Anthropic's MCP (Model Context Protocol), which is actually connected and run in this project (the connection steps are detailed later in the file).
3. Simulated Collaborative Agent Setup Using Google's A2A (Agent2Agent Protocol).

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol introduced by Anthropic. It standardizes how AI applications connect to tools and service sources. It enables large - language models to understand available tools, access them securely, and decide how to use them without hard - coding for each situation. MCP simplifies complex operations into high - level intentions.

What is A2A?

A2A (Agent2Agent Protocol) is a new open protocol launched by Google in recent days. It allows AI agents to discover, communicate, and collaborate with each other, even if these agents are built by different vendors. A2A enables developers to build an ecosystem of agents across different systems that can coordinate tasks and jointly complete intelligent and dynamic workflows.

Imagine it as a tool that connects all the devices in your kitchen. Instead of taking out different devices and connecting them to each other every time you need to cook, a system connects all the devices and simplifies your work. The MCP agent operates in a similar way - it connects data sources, making tasks like setting up a server faster and simpler without manually integrating each source separately.

A2A Example

Personal Example: Automating Daily Chores via Agents

Suppose you have several personal AI agents:

• Calendar Agent

Without A2A:

Each agent works independently. You need to manually send emails, schedule appointments, and go shopping.

With A2A:

You say, "I need to buy new headphones by tomorrow, and I'm only free between 5 - 6 pm."

• The Email Agent checks your inbox.
• The Calendar Agent verifies your free time.
• The Shopping Agent looks for matching deals.
• They coordinate with each other and complete the task. You receive updates on delivery information and calendar entries.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure the following conditions are met:

1. Python 3.x is installed.
2. Docker is installed (for running the MCP agent).
3. Visual Studio Code (VSCode) is installed.
4. The Copilot plugin is installed in VSCode (this plugin is used to interact with the MCP agent).

Step - by - Step Instructions

Step 2: Automate Installation Using the MCP Agent

1. Install the Copilot plugin in VSCode.
2. Open the JSON file. Click "Start" to open the Copilot chat window.
3. Set the mode to "Agent" in the Copilot window.

⚠️ Important Note

To use the MCP configuration, you need a GitHub personal access token. Go to your GitHub account → Settings → Developer settings → Personal access tokens, and generate a token with appropriate permissions. Once generated, paste the token into the Copilot plugin.
