🚀 Deep Search MCP Server

A deep web search MCP server using the LinkUp API. This is a TypeScript-based MCP server that demonstrates core MCP concepts and enables deep web search capabilities through the following features:

• Tool: Perform deep web searches
  • deep_search: Search based on a query string (required parameter)
  • Optional max_results parameter (default value is 5)
  • Return structured search results

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Installation

1. Install dependencies:

npm install

2. Build the server:

npm run build

3. Configure the MCP server in your settings:

You can obtain this API key from the LinkUp API service.

💻 Usage

• Development mode (with auto-rebuild):

npm run watch

• Production environment:

npm start

🔧 Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via stdio, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector:

npm run inspector

📈 Future Improvements

Consider the following future improvements:

1. Add search result caching to improve performance.
2. Implement pagination for large result sets.
3. Add search result filtering options.
4. Support different output formats (Markdown, HTML).
5. Implement authentication for API access.
6. Add more search parameters (date range, domain name, etc.).
7. Improve error handling and user feedback.
8. Add logging for debugging and monitoring.
9. Implement a health check endpoint.
