Qualis (also known as Qualis-Periódicos or Qualis/CAPES) is an academic journal evaluation system in Brazil, maintained by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). It classifies publication tools used to disseminate the knowledge outputs of "stricto sensu" (master's and doctoral) graduate programs based on their dissemination scope (local, national, or international) and quality (A, B, C). The evaluation values of Qualis in scientific activities are updated according to the 2017 - 2020 quadrennial.
