🚀 Quick Start

📦 Quick Deployment

Clone the repository

git clone <repository-url>

Navigate to the server directory

cd server-http-python-lambda

Deploy using SAM

sam build
sam deploy --guided

⚠️ Important Note

During the deployment process, you will be prompted to enter McpAuthToken. This is the authorization token required to call the endpoints. This implementation uses an AWS API Gateway authorizer and passes McpAuthToken as an environment variable. It can be replaced with other production implementations as needed.

Navigate to the client directory

cd client-http-typescript-docker

Run the helper script

run-client.sh

Basic Usage

In server/app.py, add a new tool using the decorator pattern:

• Request parsing
• Response formatting
• Error handling

🛠️ Adding New Tools

📋 Notes

• At the time of writing, the TypeScript MCP SDK is one of the few (if not the only) implementations that support HTTP-based MCP communication.
• In a production environment, consider using AWS IAM best practices for authentication and authorization.
