🚀 Getting Started with OpenSpartan Forerunner

Forerunner is a custom-built local MCP server that allows you to connect to your Halo Infinite data via any MCP client you use.

⚠️ Important Note

This tool is currently in the alpha stage as the MCP protocol is still under development (and so is Forerunner). Use it with caution.

Steps

Download the latest version.
Extract the files to your local device.
Update your MCP client configuration to point to OpenSpartan.Forerunner.MCP.exe and use the dotnet command as the bootstrapping tool.

📄 Authentication

After adding the tool to your MCP client, you'll be prompted to enter your Microsoft Account (MSA) credentials. This is the Xbox Live account you use for Halo Infinite. During this process, no tokens or other credentials will leave your device. They will be cached locally and used only for communicating with the Xbox and Halo Infinite REST APIs.

`opsp_my_service_record`	Returns the complete Halo Infinite service record (for matchmade games only) of the authenticated player. This tool does not include career rank information.
`opsp_my_latest_matches`	Returns the statistics of the player's latest Halo Infinite battles, including all types of games (e.g., matchmade games, custom games, and LAN games). All returned match dates are in UTC format.
`opsp_exchange_list`	Lists all items currently available in the Halo Infinite Exchange.
`opsp_my_gear_configuration`	Returns the Halo Infinite custom settings and their images for the authenticated user.
`opsp_my_career_rank`	Returns the player's current Halo Infinite career rank (or level) and the progress towards the highest level (Hero). Players gain experience through each match and may want to know how long it will take to reach the Hero rank.
