The MCP Server is a powerful tool that provides a series of data operation, collection management, and index management tools for Milvus databases, facilitating users to perform various operations on Milvus.

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Installation

You can install the MCP server using the following command:

pip install mcp-server-milvus

Optional Configuration Parameters

• --milvus-uri: Specify the URI of the Milvus service (default value is http://localhost:19530).
• --api-key: Specify the API key (required for authentication).

⚙️ Environment Variables

Configure environment variables using the following command:

export MILVUS_URI="http://localhost:19530"

Optional Configuration Parameters

• MILVUS_URI: URI of the Milvus service.
• MILVUS_TOKEN: Optional authentication token.
• MILVUS_DB: Database name (default is "default").

💻 Development

Run the server directly using the following command:

uv run server.py --milvus-uri http://localhost:19530
