📦 Installation

Installation via Smithery

To automatically install the kv-extractor-mcp-server on Claude Desktop using Smithery, execute the following command:

System Requirements

• Python 3.9+
• Configure the OpenAI API key (set it under env in settings.json).

Starting the Server

python server.py

MCP Host Configuration

When running this MCP server, you must explicitly specify the log output mode and (if enabled) the absolute log file path through command-line parameters.

• --log=off: Disable all log recording functions.
• --log=on --logfile=/absolute/path/to/logfile.log: Enable log recording and write logs to the specified absolute file path.

⚠️ Important Note

• When log recording is enabled, logs are only written to the specified absolute file path. Using a relative path or not specifying the --logfile parameter will cause the server to fail to start.
• When log recording is disabled, no log information will be output.
• If necessary parameters are missing or the specified path is invalid, the server will not start and will display an error message.
• Ensure that the log file is writable by the MCP server process.
