TIDAL MCP is a personalized music recommendation tool. Most music platforms offer recommendation features like daily picks, top artists, and new releases. However, even with the most advanced systems, these recommendations often feel too "generic". TIDAL MCP aims to provide more personalized and context - aware music suggestions.

You can make requests like:

"Find similar tracks based on my last 10 favorite songs, but only those released in recent years."

"Find works similar to the songs in this playlist, but with a slower tempo and a more folk - style."

The LLM filters and screens according to your input and uses TIDAL's API to find similar tracks, then creates a new playlist directly in your account.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Python version 3.10+
• uv (Python package manager)
• A TIDAL subscription

Installation Steps

1. Clone this repository:

   git clone https://github.com/yuhuacheng/tidal-mcp.git
   cd tidal-mcp
   

2. Create a virtual environment and install dependencies using uv:

   uv venv
   source .venv/bin/activate  # On Windows: .venv\Scripts\activate
   

3. Install the package with all dependencies using the following command:

   uv pip install --editable .
   

   This will install all dependencies defined in the pyproject.toml file and set up the development mode.
