  • Returns structured data extracted from the website based on the prompt.
  • The prompt should clearly specify what data to extract from the website.

📦 Installation

Install via Smithery

Use Smithery to automatically install the Scrapezy MCP server (for Claude Desktop):

npx -y @smithery/cli install @Scrapezy/mcp --client claude

Manual Installation

npm install -g @scrapezy/mcp

💻 Usage Examples

API Key Configuration

There are two ways to provide the Scrapezy API key:

1. Environment Variable:

   export SCRAPEZY_API_KEY=your_api_key
   npx @scrapezy/mcp
   

2. Command-line Argument:

   npx @scrapezy/mcp --api-key=your_api_key
   

To use it in Claude Desktop, add the server configuration to the following configuration file:

• MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Basic Usage (in Claude)

You can use the following prompt in Claude:

Please extract information from this page: https://example.com/product
Please extract the product name, price, description, and available colors.

Claude will use the MCP server to extract the required structured data from the website.

Advanced Usage (Debugging)

Since the MCP server communicates via standard input and output, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, which can be run with the following command:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a browser link to access the debugging tools.
