This project allows you to query and operate AWS resources via Claude Desktop. It provides a convenient way to interact with AWS resources using the MCP server.

This documentation provides a guide on setting up and using the AWS Resources MCP Server, which enables you to query and manipulate AWS resources through Claude Desktop.

📦 Installation

Method 1: Pull from Docker Image Repository

docker pull buryhuang/mcp-server-aws-resources:latest

Method 2: Local Build

docker build -t mcp-server-aws-resources .

💻 Usage Examples

Run the Container

Example 1: Use ACCESS_KEY_ID and SECRET_ACCESS_KEY

docker run \
  -e AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=your_access_key_id_here \
  -e AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=your_secret_access_key_here \
  -e AWS_DEFAULT_REGION=us-east-1 \
  buryhuang/mcp-server-aws-resources:latest

Example 2: Use PROFILE and Mount Local AWS Credentials

docker run \
  -e AWS_PROFILE=default \
  -v ~/.aws:/root/.aws \
  buryhuang/mcp-server-aws-resources:latest

Multi - platform Release

1. Create a new builder instance (if not already created):

docker buildx create --use

2. Build and push to multiple platforms:

docker buildx build --platform linux/amd64,linux/arm64,linux/arm/v7 -t buryhuang/mcp-server-aws-resources:latest --push .

3. Verify that the image is available on the specified platform:

docker buildx imagetools inspect buryhuang/mcp-server-aws-resources:latest

1. Keep AWS Credentials Secure: Ensure the security of your AWS credentials and avoid leakage.
2. Check Docker Version: Before running the commands, make sure Docker is installed and the version is compatible.
3. Network Connection: A stable network connection is required when running the container.
