To run the server in standard input-output mode, execute the following command in the terminal:

node src/back-end/mcp/server.js

To run the server in Server-Sent Events (SSE) mode in a development environment, execute the following command in the terminal:

npm run dev

Configuration

To configure an editor that supports MCP, set the mcp field in its package.json file as follows:

• add_collection_type Create a new collection type in the database
• add_batch_to_collection Add one or more entries to a collection
• get_from_collection Execute a query to retrieve entries from a collection
• delete_from_collection Delete entries from a collection
• collection_summary Get a summary of a collection (only returns the _id and summary fields of all entries)
• get_resource_data Provide the same information as the data://server-description and data://collections resources. This resource is included because not all MCP clients support resources.
