📦 Installation

Set up a Python Virtual Environment

We recommend using the uv tool to build a virtual environment for running the MCP server. You can learn more about uv here.

According to the official guide, you need to install the Python package management tool uv. Additionally, you can also try other methods (such as Anaconda) to create a Python virtual environment.

Add the mcp dependency via uv:

uv add "mcp[cli]"

Verify the successful installation of the mcp dependency by executing the following command:

uv run mcp

If the following image appears, it indicates successful installation:

Install Python via uv with a minimum version requirement of 3.13:

uv python install 3.13

Obtain the MCP Server

Access the official open - source repository of TranslationX Mcp Server to download the code.

Configure the Local Project

Create a project via uv:

uv init mcp_server_translation

Copy the src folder to the project directory. Execute the following command to test whether the MCP server is running properly:

uv run --with mcp[cli] mcp run {YOUR_PATH}/src/main.py
# If you are using a macOS system, use the escape character:
uv run --with mcp\[cli\] mcp run {YOUR_PATH}/src/main.py

If there are no error messages, it means the MCP server has been successfully started.

Use in Cursor

Open the Cursor configuration and add TranslationX MCP Server in the MCP settings:

Add the following content to the configuration file and save it. You can obtain TRANSLATIONX_TOKEN from X - DOC:

After completing the configuration, the TranslationX MCP Server is enabled.
