What is Robot MCP Server?

This is a robot control server built using the FastMCP framework, providing a standardized robot control interface through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It allows developers or users to control the basic actions of the robot through simple commands.

How to use Robot MCP Server?

You can start the server through a simple command line and then use an MCP-compatible client to send control instructions. The server supports two operating modes: standard input/output (stdio) mode and HTTP mode.

Applicable scenarios

Suitable for scenarios that require remote control of robots, such as educational robot programming, home service robot control, or industrial automation applications.

Main features

Movement controlSupports basic robot movement instructions, such as moving forward, backward, and turning
HTTP interfaceProvides an HTTP RESTful API interface for easy integration with web applications
Standard input/output interfaceSupports interaction through standard input/output, suitable for integration with command-line tools

Advantages and limitations

Advantages
Based on the standard MCP protocol, with good compatibility
Provides multiple interface modes to adapt to different usage scenarios
Quick start and simple configuration
Limitations
Navigation function has not been implemented (under development)
Currently only supports basic movement control
Requires a Node.js runtime environment

How to use

Install dependencies
First, you need to install Node.js and project dependencies
Start the server
Select a suitable mode to start the server
Send control instructions
Use an MCP-compatible client to send instructions in JSON format

Usage examples

Control the robot to moveSend a movement instruction to make the robot move forward 1 meter
Get the robot statusQuery the current battery level of the robot
