A lightweight implementation of the Wrike MCP server that helps you integrate Wrike into your favorite Large Language Model (LLM) tools.

The Wrike MCP (Model Control Protocol) server acts as a bridge between the Wrike project management platform and language learning models. It enables AI-driven tools to interact with Wrike data through a set of well-defined API endpoints.

• Get task details using a permalink URL.
• Retrieve tasks assigned to the authenticated user.
• Fetch tasks from a specific folder.
• Write HTML comments (supporting @ mentions) on a Wrike task specified by a permalink URL.
• Create a new Wrike task in a folder specified by a permalink URL.

📦 Installation

Requirements

• Python 3.x
• Wrike API token
• Required Python packages (see requirements.txt)

Steps

1. Clone the repository

2. Create and activate a virtual environment:

# Create a virtual environment
python -m venv .venv

# Activate the virtual environment
# For macOS and Linux:
source venv/bin/activate

3. Install dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

4. Configure your client application (e.g., Cursor IDE) to work with the MCP server: a. Go to Settings → Cursor Settings → MCP, then click Add new global MCP server.

b. Add the following configuration with the correct paths:

c. Enable the MCP server.
