🚀 Unichat MCP Server (Python Version)

This project provides a server that uses the MCP protocol to send requests to OpenAI, MistralAI, Anthropic, xAI, or Google AI through tools or predefined prompts. A vendor API key is required. There is also a TypeScript version available.

Claude Desktop

Supported Models:

The current list of supported models for "SELECTED_UNICHAT_MODEL" can be found here. Make sure to add the relevant vendor API key as "YOUR_UNICHAT_API_KEY".

Installation via Smithery

The server implements one tool:

Development

Build and Publish

To prepare the distribution package:

1. Synchronize dependencies and update the lock file:

uv sync

2. Build the package distribution:

uv build

This will create source and wheel distributions in the dist/ directory. 3. Publish to PyPI:

uv publish --token {{YOUR_PYPI_API_TOKEN}}

Debugging

Since the MCP server runs through stdio, debugging can be difficult. To start debugging:

• Run the following command in the terminal:

uvicorn unichat.mcp_server:app --reload

• Open http://localhost:8000 to access the documentation. The Inspector will display a URL in the console, which you can access in your browser to start debugging.
