This project provides a server and client setup based on the MCP (Micro-service Communication Protocol) for retrieving research papers from arXiv. The MCP server processes queries and fetches relevant research papers, while the client communicates with the server using the MCP protocol. The project uses Streamlit to implement a simple UI interface and integrates tools such as LangChain, Groq, and MCP for communication.

📦 Installation

Requirements

• Python 3.8 or higher
• streamlit
• mcp
• langchain
• langchain_groq
• dotenv
• asyncio

You can install the required dependencies using the following command:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Steps

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/alihassanml/Arxivloader-MCP-Server-and-Client.git
cd Arxivloader-MCP-Server-and-Client

2. Install the necessary dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Configure the .env file to set up the relevant configurations for Groq and MCP.

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

1. Start the MCP Server: Run the server script to start the MCP server:

   python arxivloader.py
   

2. Run the Client with Streamlit: Start the Streamlit client interface to interact with the server:

   streamlit run client.py
   

3. Query Research Papers: Once the client interface is running, you can enter the name or query field of the research paper. The server will fetch the relevant papers and display their detailed information.

Example

Here is an example of how the system works:

1. The user enters a query term, such as "Medical Claim Processing OR Health Insurance Billing", on the Streamlit interface.
2. The MCP server processes the query and retrieves relevant research paper data from arXiv.
3. The client displays the detailed information of the retrieved papers, such as the title, author, and publication date.
